The
Mesa Falls Marathon, held the fourth week of August in Ashton, Idaho, is
truly one of the 50 great Marathons in the nation. Beginning in the Targhee
National Forest near the famous Upper Mesa Falls, the marathon route travels
through wildlife laden woods to the town of Ashton offering the runner
breathtaking views of the Teton Mountain Range and other beautiful landmarks.

Set for Saturday, July 4, 2009, the Stampede starts at 9:00 a.m. Register for the Half Marathon run, 10k run, 5k walk/run or 1k kid's walk/run events. The course takes us on dirt forest service roads and trails through the scenic Caribou-Targhee National Forest. With plenty of shade, a rambling stream, breathtaking scenery, enthusiastic and upbeat water stations, this course is truly one of a kind. This is a great training event for the Mesa Falls Marathon.
